MULTIPLAYER
------------------------------------------------------------

**NOTE TO NETWORK PILOTS: JetFighter:FullBurn uses IPX
network broadcasts for very efficient game play on small to
medium sized networks and over Kali. However, on larger LAN
networks with switches and routers, JetFighter broadcasts
may be sent to many computers which don't need to hear these
messages. On very large networks this may cause a reduction
in network performance.

If you want to play JetFighter:FullBurn on a large network:
* Try disconnecting your local group of players (hub) from
the rest of the network. This will prevent IPX broadcasts
from "leaking" into the rest of your network.
* Avoid playing during business hours when your company's
network may be in heavy use.
* Check www.missionstudios.com for updates. In the future
we may add a point-to-point network option which will use
less bandwidth on very large networks.

MISCELLANEOUS
CTRL-M brings up the communications menu so you can send
messages to other players. Fly the the Resupply waypoints
to rearm and refuel you aricraft. Use N and SHIFT-N to move
through the resupply WPTS to see which is closest. You have
to fly very close to the actual waypoint before it will
resupply your plane. Keep in mind that there is a delay set
on the resupply waypoints. If someone else has recently
resupplied you will have to wait until the waypoint becomes
active again.

the Multiplayer setup screen or look at the file mreadme.txt

PERFORMANCE ISSUES
------------------------------------------------------------
REDUCING SCENERY LOAD TIMES

Because we use real geographical data and provide seamless
point-to-point navigation, JetFighter: Full Burn requires an
enormous amount of scenery data. Normally, the game finds
this data on the CD-ROM drive.

Since CD-ROM drives are much slower than hard disks, and
at times you may notice a pause in the game while
it loads a new area of the world from CD-ROM. If you
utilize the maximum install approximately 68 Meg of the
scenery data will be copied to your hard drive.

------------------------------------------------------------
KNOWN PROBLEMS
------------------------------------------------------------

Sound Cards and Autodetect - We have found that it is best
to pay close attention when autodetecting your system's
sound card. Under Windows 95, a number of cards will
autodetect as Microsoft Sound System, but most cards will
not work with these drivers in Full Burn. Also, quite a few
cards will detect as Sound Blaster cards, but work better
when you select the driver designed for the specific card.
Check for your Sound card brand name under Windows 95's
Device Manager and choose the driver for your specific card.
An example of common cards that do not work with the Sound
Blaster driver is ESS cards. For any card made by ESS
Technologies, choose AUDIODRIVE.

Joysticks - If your specific joystick is not listed, choose
the closest related driver or either of the generic drivers.
While most joysticks will work with Full Burn, not all
joysticks are compatible. If your joystick is not
specifically listed in setup and the Generic drivers do not
work with your joystick, it is most likely not going to be
compatible with Full Burn. The Microsoft Force Feedback and
Precision Pro are not supported. They may work by using the
Sidewinder drivers listed in setup, but all the features
will not function. For example, the Force Feedback stick
was designed for Win95 applications and the feedback cannot
be communicated through DOS games, so there is no feedback
in Full Burn using this joystick. The Digital Wingman
Extreme by Logitech will work using the standard Wingman
Extreme driver in setup. In addition to the hat switch not
being supported, the newly added throttle feature is not
supported by this driver.

Problems with the Flight portion of the game - If the
navigation around your base of operations works properly,
but you are experiencing difficulties when choosing to fly,
the problem is usually related to your configuration and
drivers. First, make sure that you have the latest drivers
for your 3dFX[if you have one] card and the latest Glide
drivers installed. The latest Glide drivers can be found in
the 3dFX directory of the Full Burn CD #1. Driver updates
for individual 3dFX cards can be found on your card
manufacturer's web site. Only 3dFX cards are supported.
Cards not using 3dFX Voodoo chipsets will not work unless
the NO 3D ACCELLERATOR option is selected in setup.

Throttle Control - If your throttle control device or the
throttle control switch on your joystick is not supported,
make sure the THROTTLE option in the CONTROLS menu is set to
OFF in order to control the aircraft's thrust with the
keyboard.
