These executables contain minor enhancements to the program, and also a fix to problems which have arisen with particular sound cards. Such problems prevent the computer from bidding any higher than 4S.

The French version has reverted to the standard French notation system for 'K' = Carreau and 'C' = Coeur.

Installation of upgrade:

1) Install a copy of Bridge Masterclass II with Omar Sharif from the original CD-ROM as per the Installation Guide. You probably will have already done this!

2) Download the appropriate executable file from above.

3) Double-click on the executable file, once downloaded. This will automatically over-write the existing Bridge Masterclass II with Omar Sharif files.

Note that if you entered a new directory name when you installed the program, please enter the same directory name in the upgrade program.

4) Running the program is exactly the same as before installing the upgrade (make sure the CD is in your drive, start from the Oxford Softworks group in the start menu).

No other part of your system will be altered by this upgrade.

List of other improvements in the Upgrade:

Improvements have been made in the quality of the bidding, in particular, the latter part of the auction is more stable.

ACOL now defaults to 'Strong twos' rather than 'Weak twos'. These 'Strong twos' are defined as ACOL Two bids in the system.

Game speed (Preferences Menu) now increases the pause between individual bids and plays. NB. With 'Autoplay' on, there is no time delay when there is only one legal card to play.

Stayman and Baron over 2NT & 3NT now set both, rather than just 3NT.

If you are dummy in a network game, it is now possible to view the other hands.
