1.  About The WarBreeds Editor (tm)

This map editor can be used to create new WarBreeds maps.  This editor contains the tools used by the WarBreeds designers to create all of the missions and skirmish/multiplayer maps within the game.  

Note: This editor is a tool and not a product for resale.  And is provided as added value free of any additional fees, without any explicit or implicit guarantees of performance, or user satisfaction.  Furthermore, Broderbund and Red Orb explicitly state that they DO NOT provide any technical or customer support with regard to the WarBreeds Map Editor.

2.  System Requirements

90MHz Pentium required, P133MHz Pentium or faster recommended
16MB RAM required
Minimum 11 MB hard disk space
800x600 display, 256 colors
Video and sound cards compatible with DirectX** 

*System Configuration: May require minor adjustments to the configuration of your operating system and/or updates to the hardware component drivers.

**If you experience problems with the installation or compatibility of DirectX on your computer, please consult the hardware manufacturers of your video or sound card for the latest drivers compatible with DirectX. You may also want to check Microsoft's Web page for more information. 

3.	 Using the editor

Copy either the unzipped "Editor" folder, or the WBEditor.zip file to a desired location (recommend the folder where WarBreeds is installed) on your hard drive.   If you have the zipped version, first unzip it into the desired location (the recommended location for this is the folder where WarBreeds is installed).  Once this is done double clicking on the MapEditor.exe file can launch the WarBreeds Editor.
 
Please refer to the in editor on-line help file more basic information on the use of this WarBreeds editor.

WarBreeds maps are always saved with the three-letter file extension ".WBM."  While the default directory for saved maps is "C:\WB Editor\EditData\" After you have created a map, place it (or save it to - using the browse function) in the DATA\MAPS folder within the WARBREED folder.  The default location for this folder is located at:

"C:\Program Files\Red Orb Entertainment\WarBreeds\Data\Maps\"
