Archibald's Digger remakes the well-liked arcade "Boulder Dash"
in modern way. As long as you like to recall frenzied flights from falling rocks and
mysterious spirit of the quarry, or easy to have a game different from neverending
variations of "PacMan", try for free this uncommon and thrilling one. New,
modern graphics, tens of new designed levels and much more - this is Archibald`s Digger
all round.
GAME RULES
Digger as the main character is to score as much points as possible. The points are won in return for collection the blue diamonds, a killing the monster and gathering the special bonuses. The points are also gained on succesful completion of the level before its deadline, acording to time in race. Digger`s mission accomplishment is obstructed with falling rocks, by the monsters pursuing Digger as well as with passing time-limit. The game is divided into several tens of levels. Whether or not the level is finished succesfully depends either on collection all the blue diamonds in reffered level or grabbing a special bonus "The end of the level".
Game Characters
Digger - a feature under your control (player). It can operate either in
the open space or through the clay. In the course of move through the clay Digger creates
a path, which the monsters and the rocks can pass through. Digger can`t get past the
walls.
The Monster - pursuits Digger that lose one life in case of being
trapped. The Monster is alowed to operate merely in the open space. The clay and the walls
don`t give the pass. The monster could be killed either with falling rocks or due to a
pick-up the special bonus "kill all monsters".
The Rock - as soon as it begins to move, it kills everything along its
way. The rock can fall upright down and consequently roll left or right direction. It is
also able to tumble down from the top of another rock it is standing on. The rock is an
insuperable obstacle to all characters.
Bonuses
New life - by pick-up this bonus Digger gains one life extra
Points - the point premium
Kill all Monsters - a collection of this bonus causes a dispatch of all
monsters at the topical level (on registered version only)
The end of the level - a final win at the topical level (on registered
version only)
Special controls
E - discontinues the topical level (i.e. if you become stuck) - causes
one loss of life
