===============

Antivirus module Doctor Web for The Bat! is a specialized software module
designed to maintain antivirus protection when working with e-mail messages
with the popular e-mail client The Bat!. Contrary to the resident SpIDer
Guard, which ensures overall and universal computer protection against
viruses, the Doctor Web for The Bat! module allows greater degree of
flexibility in processing e-mail messages and attachments. For instance,
it supports individual processing of each message and attachment depending
on the virus check results. Apart from that this module fully protects the
mail delivery system even with the SpIDer Guard switched off or not installed.

If the SpIDer Guard is installed and active, the infected messages and
attachments are processed in accordance with the SpIDer Guard settings.
The e-mail client The BAT! while working with mail creates temporary files
in a special system folder; the contents of this folder is normally monitored
by the SpIDer Guard.

Antivirus module is designed to check for viruses both incoming messages
and received attachments before opening them from the e-mail client. Upon
detecting the virus the module can perform one of the following actions
depending on the e-mail client The Bat! user settings (Menu item "Virus
protection" of the menu "Options"):

   a) To move the message to the special mail folder "Quarantine" for the
      future analysis (recommended);
   b) To attempt curing infected parts of the message;
   c) To remove infected parts from the message;
   d) To forward to the same recipient address (self-forward) the infected
      message as an attachment;
   e) To delete the message.

Additionally any of the above actions can be followed by forwarding to
the infected message sender an auto-generated e-mail notification
(editable template is provided).

Installation:
In order to install the module manually place the file DRWEB.BAV to any local HD folder.
Launch The Bat!, go to the "Options" menu, select "Virus protection" menu
item and click on "Add" button in the "Virus Checking Plug-ins" dialogue box.
Select "External Plug-in" from the drop-down menu and browse to the DRWEB.BAV
module. Select the module DRWEB.BAV in the "Virus Checking Plug-ins" dialogue
box and press "Configure" to input the path to your Doctor Web for Windows
installation folder and to setup module additional options.

It is recommended to remove any earlier installed antivirus module from the
connected plug-ins' list of The Bat! to avoid double-checking.
