SafeExecute. Freeware Version.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Introducing the final release of SafeExecute (Safex) anti-virus utility.
This utility can help you detect and avoid infection of most known and
unknown DOS TSR viruses. By using Safex you may run an infected program
safely until you find proper cure anti-virus tool. Safex is extremelly
helpful if a program you need cannot be successfull cured due of some
circumstance such as R/O storage device, etc.
Safex works as an external loader for a program. The usage is simply.
Run Safex using the following syntax:
SAFEX  <your_program> [<parameters_for_your_program>]
where <your_program> is a file name of program you want execute, and
<prarmeters_for_your_program> is the optional parameters (if any) you
want to pass to executing program. After the end of execution of program
Safex shall check the RAM and interrupt vectors for suspicious
modifications. If Safex detect any modification then it notifies you and
asks for confirmation. If you do not confirm changes then Safex has
undone it. Please note Safex do not cure an infected program on disk, it
just deactivates any unwanted TSR code in RAM.
To use Safex you must have:
*   IBM PC or 100% compatible computer;
*   CPU i80286 or higher;
*   DOS 3.30 or higher;
Safex do not makes any swap files on disk. It takes 17Kb only in RAM.
Safex has simple selfcheck routine itself; the Safex' file size is
6907 bytes.
Safex is a specific tool against TSR viruses ONLY, it's totally helpless
against boot-, file search- and macro-viruses. Using Safex alone in not
enough for safety, you need to use it together with some complex
anti-virus tool. I would like to recommend you Dr.Solomons AVT, F-Prot,
AVP by Kaspersky or Dr.Web and Adinf by DialogueScience.
