                 Welcome to the MantaDB Utilities

Hope you like MantaDB! The support Web site for MantaDB is
http://www.MantaDB.com. You can always find the latest version
and all kinds of support there. I am always interested in bug
reports and suggestions. Please read the FAQ at
http://www.mantadb.com/faq.htm first.

SIMPLE SUMMARY OF WHAT MANTADB DOES

  1) Indexes the words on the web pages you view and provides a useful
     search facility for them.
  2) Can index the contents of files and directories on your local drive.
  3) Can index the contents of the Internet Explorer cache.
  4) Can notify you of broken and bad links on pages and keep a running
     list of links to visit.
  5) Can put a web page you specify in a sidebar similar to the Internet
     Explorer "History" or "Favorites" bar.
  6) Can change the colors used on a web page to sensible values thus
     making it much more readable.
  7) Can change the base font size used by the Internet Explorer browser
thus making pages much more readable.
  8) Can remove frames from around a page.
  9) Can automatically refresh Web Pages.
 10) Can present a Random Link on the Web Page.
 11) Has some useful Host Lookup and Ping Tools.

INSTALLATION
Installation is simple and takes about one minute. Download the MantaDB.exe
self-extracting archive into a directory on your PC and click on it to install.

POST-INSTALLATION
After the installation is complete the MantaDB toolbar will not be visible until
it is activated from within Internet Explorer. Start a new Internet Explorer
session and look in the Internet Explorer "View" menu for the "Toolbars" sub-menu.
In the "Toolbars" sub-menu you will notice MantaDB listed as one of the items. Select
that item to activate MantaDB and a series of new buttons will appear
in the Internet Explorer toolbar. This is MantaDB. To get started hit the button
that looks like a question mark (?) to access the help.

NOTE: Due to a bug in some versions of Internet Explorer, the MantaDB
item in the Internet Explorer View/Toolbars menu might be listed as a
second "Radio" item. This bug (although very annoying) is harmless and
MantaDB will still operate correctly. If you should see it, just select
the bottom "Radio" item and MantaDB's buttons should appear in the Internet
Explorer's Toolbar as normal. Section [03.03] of the FAQ located at
http://www.mantadb.com/faq.htm#[03.03] discusses this issue in more detail.

LICENSE INFO
MantaDB may be downloaded and used free of charge.

UN-INSTALL
If you wish to uninstall MantaDB run (double click) the uninstall.exe file
located in the same directory as this readme.txt file and press the
Un-Install button. The uninstall function takes a very short time - a second
or two. After uninstallation you can delete the MantaDB files if desired.
MantaDB does not install any files anywhere else in your computer - so you
need not worry about file conflicts. Please note it is inadvisable to
delete or move the MantaDB files without uninstalling first.
