Winsock REXECD/95 Installation
------------------------------

If you are installing Winsock REXECD/95 from a diskette, insert the Winsock
REXECD/95 diskette into your diskette drive. Then, from the Windows Start
menu, select Run. Then type the drive letter of your diskette drive followed
by "SETUP". For example, if the diskette is in the A: drive, type "A:SETUP".
Then press the Enter key. (This can also be done from a DOS Prompt if
you prefer).

If you are installing Winsock REXECD/95 from a .ZIP file that you downloaded,
use PKUNZIP or similar program to decompress the .ZIP file into a temporary
directory such as \WREXECDINST or to a diskette. This directory must be
DIFFERENT than the directory in which Winsock REXECD/95 is to ultimately be
installed (by default, C:\WREXEC95). Then, from the Windows Start menu, select
Run. Then type the name of the directory containing the decompressed files
followed by "SETUP". For example, if you decompressed the files in
\WREXECDINST, type "\WREXECDINST\SETUP". Then press the Enter key. (This can
also be done from a DOS Prompt if you prefer).

The Winsock REXECD/95 Installation window will then appear. Verify that the
drive letter shown in the Install From field is correct. If it is not,
specify the proper drive.

Specify the directory in which you would like Winsock REXECD/95 to be installed
in the Destination field. This will default to the \WREXEC95 directory on the
drive where Windows is installed. You may change it if you wish.

If you do not want Winsock REXECD/95 to be installed as a Windows Service,
uncheck the Install as Service option and it will not be added to the list of
Windows Services. Winsock REXECD/95 can be run as an application instead of a
service if you wish (explained in the manual). It will be added to your Start
menu if you do not install it as a service.

Normally you will want to install it as a service. A service is a program
that starts automatically when Windows starts. It is transparent to you
and does not end if you log out.

Press the Install button to begin the installation. Press Cancel if you wish
to exit.

After the files are copied, if you installed REXECD/95 as a service, will then
be installed in the Windows list of services and it will be started for you.
If you did not install it as a service, find it on your Start menu and start
it by clicking on it.
