Changes in VProxy capabilities/problem solutions in historical order
VProxy 1.2.2 (build 74 of January 26, 1999)

  1. Security features based on the user-password authentication have been added. At this 
  time basic scheme is used. To use proxy, NT users must have "work as a part of
  operating system" right. This could be used to limit network use on username basis.

  to process requests to Web-based mail-systems through the VProxy

  Really stable version. During more than 
  month of heavy testing in Pomor State University there were no fatal errors. Robust
  enough to serve and log some 1.500 requests a day (on P-166 with 32M on board 
  measured processor time for this job was only 7 seconds!).
