Instructions:

This is a new default asteroid file for MyStars!

This file will replace your current asteroid data file with a new updated file
containing the first 1000 numbered asteroids.

To use:

- close MyStars! if you are running it. It is not recommended that you use
'File Merge' to install the enclosed data file.

- unzip this zip file into a temporary directory

- move the contained ast1000.dat file into your current
mystars folder manually. Your current MyStars! folder is probably called:

c:\mystar26 (if you have the 16 bit version of MyStars!), or

c:\program files\mystar32-26 (if you have the 32 bit version)

- remove or rename your old asteroid.dat file from your mystars folder

- rename the file ast1000.dat to asteroid.dat

- please read the credits file from your temporary directory (a-credit.txt)

- you can now run MyStars!

- As this data replaces the default asteroid list of ~25 asteroids with a new list of 1000
asteroids, program startup and animations will run slower when asteroid computations
are enabled.

To speed up animations when asteroid information is NOT required, use
Objects/Asteroids/Display Asteroids (turn off) to disable all asteroid calculations.

Wehope to have other new asteroid files available on our website in the near future
