Encrypt v1.2.0
==============

With Encrypt you can scramble textfiles, e.g. to send them
as an attachement to an e-mail message. The encryption level is
not very high, so I won't use it for anything too serious.

Installation
------------
Run setup.exe
This program needs the VB5 runtimes (you can download
them at http://freeusers.digibel.be/~wimh/).

How to use :
============

Encrypt a file
--------------
- Put your message in a textfile (.txt).
- In the Windows Explorer, right-click on it and select Encrypt.
- Type in a password (min. 4 characters).
- Type in the same password again in the second textbox.
- Click on Encrypt. The program will now create a scrambled
  file with the same name as the textfile but with extention
  .ecr You can send this file as an attachement of an e-mail
  message, someone who doesn't knows the password can't read it.

Decrypt a file
--------------
- In the Windows Explorer, right-click on the .ecr-file and
  select Decrypt.
- Type in the password and click Decript. The program will create
  an unscrambled file with the same name and extention .txt

You can also encrypt/decrypt from the commandline :

Encrypt /e filename /pw=password
  to encrypt,
Encrypt /d filename /pw=password
  to decrypt.

If you don't use the /pw=...-switch, you will see the same window
as if you would encrypt from the Windows Explorer.

It's impossible to restore a file if you don't remember the password,
 so don't send me files to unscramble them !!
