Caldera OpenDOS 7.01: Auf weit ueber 1,3 MegaByte (!!!) Textdateien

    - JP Softs 4DOS 5.0 - 5.52, Norton/Symantecs NDOS 7
    - Norton Commander (NC 4.00 - 5.01)
    - PC DRAFT 6

    - Mitsumi CD-ROM-Laufwerk FX-001D

   regelmaessigen Abstaenden beliefert:

"Tips and Tricks collection for DOS"

Copyright (c) 1991-1997 by Matthias Paul

This is a comprehensive collection of my DOS tips and tricks documents
(written in German language). It covers hints, bugs, workarounds
and undocumented features of different DOS'es, also describing
internationalization/localization items and problems with version
incompatibilities. Additionally, MPDOSTIP.ZIP contains guidelines on
batchjob programming, hints on some COMMAND.COM replacements,
some application programs, and different hardware related PC stuff.

The greatest part of my work is about Novell DOS 7 and
   Caldera OpenDOS 7.01:

Much more than 1.3 MegaByte (!!!) of text documents (more than 400 pages
to print), highlighting hundreds of exiting, powerful, and undocumented
features of these DOS editions, that cannot be found anywhere else!
Therefore, MPDOSTIPs is an ideal AddOn for the original documentation or
   any 3rd party books.

Contains some example batchjobs, a tiny Public Domain ASCII-browser
SEE.COM, and a small utility SWITCHAR.COM to change the current SwitChar.

   The major topics:

    - Novell DOS 7 (NWDOS) (all updates)
    - Caldera OpenDOS 7.01 (COD)
    - Personal NetWare 1.0 (PNW) (all updates)
    - DR DOS 3.40 - 6.0 (all updates), VIEWMAX and GEM
    - DR/Novell/CCI/IMS Multiuser DOS 5.xx & 7.xx
    - MS-DOS 2.xx - 7.0
    - PC-DOS 2.xx - 7.0 (including a little on OS/2 2.x and Warp 3)
    - MS Windows 3.xx and MS Windows95
    - Batchjob programming
    - JP Soft's 4DOS 5.0 - 5.52, Norton/Symantec's NDOS 7
    - Norton Commander (NC 4.00 - 5.01)
    - PC DRAFT 6

    - Mitsumi CD-ROM drive FX-001D
    - Replacing computer switching power supplies

The collection is updated rather frequently, as soon as new information
arises. If your copy is older than a one or two months, a new issue
   might be out already.

The most up-to-date release of this collection can be found at the
following web-page; but the FTP server of University Stuttgart,
Germany, is also being updated quite often:

    URL: http://www.rhrz.uni-bonn.de/~uzs180/mpdokger.html (German)
                                            /mpdokeng.html (English)

                                    [^ this is ASCII-126, "tilde"]

    URL: ftp://uni-stuttgart.de/pub/systems/msdos/util/system/mpdostip.zip

More distribution points can be found in README.1ST.

I have recieved enough emails to assume that there was a demand for an
English version of MPDOSTIPs. Unfortunately, I don't have the time
to do it myself. Therefore, if you are a natively English speaker,
having a fair understanding of the German language, and are enthusiastic
enough to take part in a planned future MPDOSTIPs translation project
into English on a not-for-profit basis, I'd like to hear from you.
If we'd find enough people to divide the work load, we could have an
English version of MPDOSTIPs reasonably soon to help all those not
speaking German. (Please note, that at present this query is in no
way a permission to translate, transscribe, or modify the files
without my prior explicit written permission. All rights reserved.)
