DiskLock for Windows 95
Version 1.0 February 5, 1997
by Kevin Marty <kmarty@compuserve.com>

Description
-----------
DiskLock is a very simple program designed to prevent the media from being
removed from removable disk drives such as CD-ROM and Zip drives. When
the drive is locked, the eject button on the drive does not cause the
media to be ejected. DiskLock can also be used to unlock the drive when
the media needs to be removed. Please note that not all drives are able
to be locked with DiskLock.

Usage
-----
1) Copy the disklock.com file to a convenient directory on your system

2) Invoke disklock from the command line as follows:
To lock the media in disk drive d:
                DISKLOCK L d:

To unlock the media in disk drive d:
                DISKLOCK U d:

3) It may be convenient to create shortcuts on the desktop, in the Start
menu, or the StartUp folder to lock/unlock specific drives. Just
create a shortcut to the DISKLOCK.COM program, and then change the
"Cmd line" field on the "Program" page of the shortcut properties to add
the appropriate command-line options for the drive you wish to (un)lock.

Notes
-----
* This program currently works only with Windows 95.
* Not all removable drives are capable of being locked, especially
drives with mechanical latches. For example, it is not possible to
lock the media in a standard 3.5" or 5.25" disk drive. It is possible,
however, to lock most CD-ROM drives.
