NTMIRROR, (c) 1999 by Costin Raiu, <craiu@gecad.ro>
===================================================

SHORT INFO:
===========

NTMIRROR is a program designed to syncronize the contents of two
folders, much like the wellknown UNIX tool 'mirror'. The main
difference is however that NTMIRROR works through standard win32
filesystems, (including remote shares) while the UNIX mirror tools
are usually ftp-oriented.

PURPOSE:
========

I wrote this program mainly to simplify the syncronization of my
virus collections, more precisely to ease the creation of the
collection backups. For example, you can use it to create backups
of various shares or file resources from your network with
minimal traffic.

USAGE:
======

NTMIR.EXE folder_to_update source_folder [switches]

[switches] :
            -v : turn on verbose info reporting
            -l : create a log file, ".mirror_log"
            -p : passive mode, don't do any action (to use with -l)

usage examples:

NTMIR.EXE \\bserver\back_collection e:\macro_col -l
        will mirror the contents of e:\macro_col to the remote server bserver
        while creating a log file in the current directory.

NTMIR.EXE e:\ntbackup g:\winnt\system -v
        create a mirror of the g:\winnt\system directory into e:\ntbackup,
        and log all actions on the screen

VERSIONS:
=========

 0.59 - * first usable version, limited to 2*10000 files

 0.60 - * first public version, known switches: -l -r -v
        * implemented dynamic file name arrays
        * speed up some parts of the code

 0.61 - * implemented multithreading. Now NTMIRROR uses two
          different threads to list the content of the source
          folder and the destination folder. This give a 200%
          speed increase on my configuration, and should act
          in similar ways out there, given the source and
          destination folders are located on different disks
          or computers.
        * fixed case sensitivity bug in NTMIRROR. Previous versions
          had a bug which caused the following effect:
          if the source contains a newer file called "test.DOC",
          and the destination contains a file called "test.doc",
          previous NTMIRROR versions first copied "test.DOC" from
          source to destination, then deleted "test.doc" from
          destination folder, which was actually the recently copied
          file. Now all the file name comparisions are case insensitive.
