                             Selection Wizard 1.1.2

Plugin module for FAR 1.70 beta 5 or later

                                   Freeware

The purpose of this plugin is to provide an extended processing of file
selection on active panel of FAR file manager. At present time the plugin
is capable to:

- save/restore file selection;

- perform basic set operations on file selection;

- store all selections to config file, retrieve them from the file
and do that automatically on FAR start/exit (see configuration)

It is convenient to define keyboard macros to call most frequently used
plugin commands - see the enclosed file SelWiz.reg.

Even more convenient (imho) is to add selection saving/restoring to the
commonly used folder change key combinations - see the file AutoSel.reg.
I mean it, really look carefully if the whole set of macros suits you -
it redefines many day-to-day used keys and may complicate your life
when improperly used.

Macroses AutoSave.reg enhance plugin functionality when using autosave
and autoload features.

The plugin requires library msvcrt.dll to work.

  1. Save file selection to buffer

File selection is stored in memory until the exit from FAR. There are
separate buffers for each of folders, so the saved selections for different
folders do not interfere. The number of saved folders and selection marks
is limited by available memory only.

Plugin panels are supported as well as standard file panels.

Folders are identified by current path string (as it passed to plugin by FAR),
case insensitive.

  2. Restore selection from buffer (SET)

All file selection marks on active panel are cleared and the stored
selection marks are set.

Files are identified by long file names, case insensitive.

  3. Exchange selection with buffer

A composition of items (1) and (2) - current selection goes to buffer,
and the stored selection marks are displayed.

  4. To perform basic set operations on selection:

Selection union (OR).
Stored selection marks are added to current selection on active panel.

Selection intersection (AND).
Only those selection marks remain which are present both in buffer and
active panel.

Selection subtraction (AND NOT).
Stored selection marks are cleared from current selection on active panel.

  5. Store all selections to config file

All selections stored in memory are saved to text file (see configuration).

  6. Read all selections from config file

Previously saved selections are read back to memory.

  Configuration
  -------------

  Maximum stored folders number

Maximum number of most recently used folders with selections stored
in memory.

[x] Autosave selections to config file

Turn on that option to automatically save all stored selections to text
file on FAR exit.

[x] Autoload selections from config file

Turn on that option to automatically read saved selections from text
file on plugin load. It is convenient in that case to load plugin with
keyboard macro automatically executed on FAR start.

  Config file name

Full path to file where selections will be saved. By default it is
SavedSelection.txt in user's Application Data folder.
