inSCL
version 4  (release date: 31-Dec-03)

	1. INTRO

inSCL is a packer-plugin for TotalCommander,
dedicated to work with TRDOS disk images (.SCL).
Views, extracts, creates, modifies.

	2. FEATURES

- smart trdos file length detection
- hobeta files processing
- checking SCL file integrity
- transiting START and LENGHT parameters via file
  creation date
- configurable
- 100% asm code - small and fast =8)

	3. INSTALLATION

Copy inSCL.wcx somewhere. Run TC, go to options/packer
/Configure packer extensions DLLs. Enter 'scl' as
extension, press 'New type', find inSCL.wcx file. Press OK.

	4. CONFIG

inSCL looks for [intrd] section of inX.cfg file located
in directory which inSCL.wcx is in. This section may contain
the following keys:

extext=1			; 3-symbol extension support
detecthobeta=1 ; process hobeta files when packing
hobeta=0			; extract to hobeta
add$=0			; add '$' to extension
numbering=2		; number prefix in filename (0-no prefix, 1-hex, 2-dec)
separator=!S ; number prefix separator (max 8 symbols; use "S" instead of space)
smartlen=0			; smart length detection

(^these are defaults)

See next chapter for more info.

	4. PROCESS

	4.1. View/Extract

The look of files depends on options in inX.cfg.

If hobeta=1 files will be shown and extracted in
hobeta format.
If extext=1, 3-symbol extension will be shown for files,
that seem to have it.
With add$=1 "$" sign prefixed to extension (recomended
for hobeta=1).
If smartlen=0 then trdos file length is determined
only by it's sector-size. If smartlen=1, trdos
LENGTH parameter also applies (but not for *.B files!).
If numbering>0, a number with separator is prefixed
to filename.

When file is extracted from SCL, its creation date
holds trdos START and LENGTH parameters, and
modification date is the same as on TRD file. This lets
you transfer trdos files between SCL/TRD archives
without loss of these info.

If SCL file looks corrupted (even not taking checksum
into account) it's not opened.

	4.2. Delete

No remarks. Just press f8/del and relax :)

	4.3. Create/Add

If numbering=1, added file's name analysed and number
prefix removed.
If detecthobeta=1, hobeta files are detected (by length
and checksum); hobeta header cut, and copied to SCL's
catalog.
If extext=1, trdos START parameter holds extended
extension.
If file's creation date is earlier than May'1981 and
file is not hobeta then START and LENGTH parameters
extracted from this date.

If you pack directory, all files in them are packed
whithout directory structure.

"Move files" also works: packed files (not directories)
are deleted (if packing succeed).

	4.4. Test

SCL file has a checksum. inSCL ignores it when
opening/viewing/extracting archive, unless you give
"Test archive" command (alt-shift-f9) from TC.

	5. NOTES

- SCL can't store files larger than 65280 bytes.
- SCL can't store directories.
- SCL can store max 255 files.
