- need a .BAK killer?
- your application does not understand wildcards?
- want to view all pictures on your disk?
- want to unpack every archive into its OWN directory?

XDO allows to apply a series of DOS commands to every file on your disk that
fits a given wildcard description. The command(s) is specified as a template,
which is filled out for every matching file. Many pre-programmed substitutions
(always starting with %) result in great flexibility and sophistication.

BE CAREFUL! Think about all effects of your commands. It is very easy to
cause irreparable damage to your files. If you generate files automatically
check if they might fit your original mask and if they could overwrite any of
the existing ones.

Here is a summary of features taken from the online help:

usage: xdo {path & file mask} [-options] % {command template} | {filename}
wildcards OK
options: r - process subdirectories
         c - direct execution (not via COMMAND.COM)
a - execute always, without questions
q - quiet execution (batch mode)
f - take commands from file
substitutions example:
 %f full pathname C:\VLADIMIR\TOOLS\XDO.EXE
 %n filename XDO
 %e extension EXE
 %p pathname C:\VLADIMIR\TOOLS
 %d drive C
 %c file counter 007
 %% per cent sign %

examples: xdo \*.arj -rqc % c:\arj.exe t %f
          xdo c:\*.bak -rq % del %f
          xdo d:\net\sp\*.arj -rf % unpack.lst
              with unpack.lst containing: md %p\%n
                                          cd %p\%n
                                          arj e %f
