WHAT IS CACHE-CLOAK
===================

Cache-Cloak is intended for users who do not use Internet
Explorer, for whom the Cookies, Downloaded Program Files,
History, and Temporary Internet Files directories are of
little/no use. Cache-Cloak just relocates these directories
out of sight in a common folder where they can be easily
deleted in DOS with a single deltree command.

This is an interim solution until a satisfactory way of
killing these directories for good is found.

These pesky directories are difficult to delete, and they
keep re-appearing, even when you do not use Internet
Explorer or any other program that might use them
(e.g. Outlook Express, HELP)

Cache-Cloak changes the default location of these
directories so that they are out of sight in the
%windir%\TEMP\CACHE directory. You can delete all of them
from DOS with a single command:

DELTREE /Y C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\CACHE

If you are not using IE or Outlook Express, then these
directories should remain virtually unused and there is no
point in contiunually deleting them. They get recreated
anyhow and continually deleting them just fragments the disk.

Cache-Cloak will also work with IE and Outlook Express, but
Im not sure why you would bother.

Some users like to place a

 DELTREE /Y C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\CACHE

command in their autoexec.bat to clear the cache on every
bootup. This is NOT recommended. The cache speeds up web
browsing by allowing revisited web content to be loaded
quickly from the local hard disk. Continually deleting the
cache means that everything must be re-downloaded every time
you re-visit a site. This is not only slow, it is a waste
of internet resources. You should set your cache to a
maximum size that you can live with (typically 5 MB or more)
and let the browser maintain copies of your most commonly
accessed pages on your hard disk for rapid access.
