Important imformation:
----------------------
Read the following!

What this program does!
----------------------
This program converts ringing tones from either the Nokring RTTTL file format or standard
Nokia 3210 format to the Keypress sequence required to enter a tone into the Nokia 3210.
It also converts between the formats.

You do not need to know how the Nokia Composer works - just follow the keypress sequence.

You can play back the tune before typing it in your phone.

You will STILL need to type the ringing tone directly into the Composer in your phone, but
it will be very straightforward.

1. Requirements:
----------------
System: Windows 95 or Windows 98 or Windows NT 4
Hardware: PC, Soundcard
Nokia 3210 Cellular Phone

Ringtone Files (freely available on the web) -
Nokring RTTTL data files or Nokia 3210 Composer files

2. Installation:
----------------
-Remove any previous installed version with
    Start|Settings|Control-Panel|AddRemove Programs.
-Unzip the download file using WinZip.
-Run SETUP.EXE and follow the English installation instructions.

3. How to use:
--------------
Follow the numbered green squares in the correct order.!

Click on the little green squares to find out more information on
how to use the program.

'File|Save' saves the current DISPLAYED ringtone in a file appropriate for the type.
	- RTTTL displayed files are saved as .TXT
	- Composer displayed files are saved as .321
	- Keypress displayed files are saved as .KEY
If this is a newly created tone, type in a RingTone name and a Tempo into the boxes.

Keypress files cannot be loaded into the converter. They are there so you can view
them in another program such as Notepad.

RTTTL files may be loaded back into Nokring.

'Edit|Export/Copy RingTone to Clipboard' copies the displayed ringtone (in the format displayed
including the name and tempo) to the clipboard.
In the case of RTTTL, it can then be pasted directly into Nokring to be played.

Use the Play button to play back a tone. This feature uses an external program called CONV.EXE
used by permission of Simeon Pashley in the UK. CONV.EXE is available on the web and converts
RTTTL Nokring files to MIDI format.

Any problems associated with this feature are not my responsibility.

4. Limitations
--------------
The Nokia 3210 is more limited on ring tone features compared to other phones and
therefore some tones won't work fully.

Be aware of the following:
1. The 3210 has a 50 note/entry capacity.
2. There are only three octaves not 4 like on some other phones and Nokring.

6. Changes
----------
2.2 07/03/2000
Fixed Tempo bug - changing Tempo affects tone playback now.
Fixed Get button being disabled after tone playback.
	Fixed other minor bugs.
2.1 03/03/2000
Fixed spurious 'Run-Time Error 52' bug - again, I think!
Added tone playback feature. A MIDI file is also generated as a result.

2.0 08/02/2000
New totally rewritten version converts between the two popular formats
and allows you to save files in the new formats. The RTTTL files
can then be loaded into Nokring to play the tunes.

1.5 06/12/1999
	Fixed spurious 'Run-Time Error 52' bug - I think!
Added link to Web page in Info box

1.4 24/11/1999
Fixed keypresses bug. Failed to display pauses.
Added feature to cut and paste RTTTL/Nokring text from a web page
directly in the converter without loading a file.

1.3 22/11/1999
Added feature to display tones in keypress sequences format.
Now you only need to press the keys as displayed in the program
	in the order shown.

1.2 17/11/1999
	Added dotted note feature.
	Fixed note count bug
(previously reporting one less then the actual number of notes)
	Fixed # bug.
(The # appeared after the note when it actually
appears before the note in the composer window.)
	Changed user interface slightly.

1.1 29/10/1999
	Registry bug fix

1.0 28/10/1999
	Initial release
