Change Log for VE 32-bit Executable Tools
=========================================

VE Tools V1.21, released 7/1/1997
---------------------------------
Comment: Due to recent work on the Brighteyes libraries, I happened to
	 stumble upon serious bugs in the VE system. Were it not for
	 these, I would not have updated LE2VE until DLL support was
	 necessary (which, to be honest, could have been never).
---------------------------------
* Minor doc change: PMWLITE executables can only be run under _PMODE/W_.

* F***ing smart*ss Watcom Linker! WLINK saves a few bytes in LE files
  by chopping off zeroes from the initialized data segment and turning
  them into BSS - even if they belong to relocated pointers! LE2VE
  now recognizes this and extends the image size to compensate.

* Intermittent page faults due to "slopover read" in the LZH routine
  in VELoader fixed.

* A couple Pentium optimizations in VELoader, and LE2VE and VERUN
  have been recompiled with /oaxt for speed. Didn't know /d1+ turned
  off optimizations too...

* New -Q switch for quiet decompression.

* VELoader now passes on _D16InfoSeg in GS.

VE Tools V1.2, released 3/29/1997
--------------------------------
* Fixed problems in LE2VE that were causing it to incorrectly process
  16-bit selector and 48-bit far pointer relocs. Tomb Raider now
  packs and runs properly.

* Support added for multiple source and 16-bit object reloc flags.

VE Tools V1.1, released 2/3/1997
--------------------------------
* Fixed problem in LE2VE that was causing bitlength tables to be created
  with all zero bit length entries, which is correct when there is only
  one length value in the block; however, it makes it impossible for
  VELoader to determine which length code that is! LE2VE now forces at
  least two codes for each table.

  This problem fixes crashes when programs with very small relocation
  tables are compressed with the -r2 option.

* VELoader no longer attempts to load and relocate a zero byte relocation
  table.

* Trivial change: LE2VE doesn't say "le2vpe" anymore.

VE Tools V1.0
-------------
* First public release.
