    EDITD.HLP The on-line help file

    EDITDHST.TXT A history of changes

Copy EDITD16.EXE or EDITD32.EXE, together with EDITD.HLP to the same
directory of your hard disk. Rename the .EXE file to EDITD.EXE. Then
add an entry for EditD to a Windows 3.1 Program Manager group or in the
  Windows 95 start menu.

You may want to associate EDITD.EXE to some file types like .TXT in the
Windows 3.1 File Manager or Windows 95 Explorer.

Now start EditD and set the options the way you want them. When you close
the application, a file named EDITD.INI is automatically
  created in your Windows directory.

  EDITD [filename [...] [/r] [/w]]
with: /r = start in Read Only mode
/w = start in Word Wrap mode
