Hypermake 4.2 for OS/2 and eCS July 2004

*****english*****(german below)**********

Hypermake is a compiler converting plain ASCII text with only few commands to
HTML, IPF, RTF-Winhelp, RTF-Text and MS HTML-Help files. An OS/2, a Windows and
a DOS version is available. Hypermake is Shareware 40-90$ when compiling bigger
source files than 20 kB, otherwise Freeware.

HYMAKE.EXE is the graphical version of Hypermake with integrated editor and
settings notebook. HMAKE.EXE is the simple commandline compiler. Normally you
will use HYMAKE.EXE.

In Hypermake 4.2, the new functionality "prepare upload" helps you uploading
your web project to the server and updating the modified files.

Hypermake 4.1 is a minor bugfix of Hypermake 4.0. In the editor
part, a lot of bugs were fixed and improvements were made.
The editor reads and writes now WS files (Wordstar DOS/Write&Set)
and in addition to the ASCII format, the compiler compiles now
all Wordstar DOS formats, even 5, 6 and 7. If you are interested in
the list of fixed bugs in the editor, please visit
www.writeandset.de page WSedit - versions and bugs.
The Hypermake 4.0 editor was based on WSedit 0.91 and Hypermake 4.1
is based on WSedit 0.98a.

Installation:

(1) Unpack all Hypermake files and directories to a new directory of your
choice. You can delete the language specific GERMAN folder.

(2) Start HMinstal. This will generate three new file associations for HMP
files. You'll get three new entries in the "open" item of the context menu of
all HMP files and double clicking starts Hypermake. You will also get a
"Hypermake" folder on your desktop.

(3) Before you can use Hypermake together with viewers and help compilers,
you have to tell Hypermake the filenames. Start Hypermake (HYMAKE.EXE)
and open the "View" and "2nd comp" page of the program settings (View -
Program settings). The Netscape browser filename ends with
\netscape4\program\netscape.exe. If the name is correct, the edit field
gets green.

If you want to have a draft overview, then start HTML_SMP.HMP and compare the
source text (View - Source text - sample.txt) with the HTML files (View - Final
Output).

Principally, you can create the delivered OS/2 Help file by yourself:
ENGLISH\HELPDOCU.HMP is the project file for creating this help file,
and ENGLISH\DOCU.TXT is the Hypermake source text.

If you want to make a printout of your Hypermake Hypertext
document, please take a look at Write&Set (www.writeandset.de)
Write&Set is a full-featured Wordprocessor with full Hypermake
source text compatibility.

(2) Starten Sie HMINSTAL.CMD. Dieses Programm erzeugt drei Programmobjekte mit
der Dateizuordnung *.HMP. Jede HMP-Datei erhlt so drei Eintrge bei
Kontextmen - ffnen. Doppelklick auf die HMP-Datei startet Hypermake
(graphische Version).

erzeugten HTML-Dateien (Ansicht - Endergebnis).

an.
Dokumenten.
