This tutorial will help you to quickly learn how to play by walking you through several hands in a sample game.~After you get the general idea for how to play from this tutorial, please read the complete game rules in the User's Manual.~Click the Next button below to begin.
This double-solitaire game is played with 2 decks of cards. Each player is dealt from a separate deck.~Click the DEAL button on the left hand side of the game to begin.
This sample game begins with the computer's turn.~For reference, the legal moves are shown on the left hand side of your game.~The computer's cards (Reserve, Waste and Stock piles) are at the top of the screen, and your cards are at the bottom of the screen.<A#0
The object of the game:~To be the first player to get rid of all their cards, by playing them to:~ the Center Foundation~the Tableau columns~or your opponents Reserve and Waste piles.<A#0
Since this is the first turn of the game, before a player can make any moves, the Tableau must first be checked for Aces that can be moved to the Center Foundation.<A#0
After the Ace has been moved from the Tableau to the Center, the empty Tableau space MUST be filled with the top card from the Reserve pile, the 2 of Spades.
The next Reserve card showing is a 10 of Spades.~Look at the Legal Moves list.~The Center Foundation piles begin with Aces, so the 10S cannot be moved to the Center Foundation. There are no Red Jacks on the Tableau, so it can't be played there either.~It also cannot be played to your Reserve card (Ace of Hearts).
Since the Reserve card cannot be played, the Stock card can now be turned over.<A#0
The Stock card is now a 6 of Clubs. It cannot be played, so the computer looks at the Tableau for cards that can be manipulated to other Tableau piles.~Tableau piles are build down in alternating colors.~The Black Queen can be moved to the Red King, leaving an open Tableau space.
The open Tableau space is then filled with the 10 of Spades Reserve card.
The next Reserve card is a 2 of Hearts.~The 2 of Hearts can immediately be played to the Center Foundation.
The next Reserve card is a 10 of Clubs.~There is no place to play the 10C or the Stock card (6C), so the computer ends its turn by placing its Stock card face up on its Waste pile.
It's now your turn.~Click the Next button and this tutorial will guide you through your moves.
Since the top card of your Reserve pile is an Ace of Hearts, it must immediately be moved to the Center foundation.~Move the Ace of Hearts to the Center now by dragging the card to an empty Center pile.<P#2<C#2
Your next Reserve card is a 7 of Diamond.~Since that card isn't playable to the Center foundation, you don't have to play the 7 of Diamond immediately to the Tableau if you don't want to.~Click once on your Stock pile to turn the card over so that you can see the top card.<P#1<C#1
The top card of your Stock pile is a Queen of Diamonds.~That card isn't playable anywhere, so look at your Reserve card again.~The 7 of Diamonds can be played to the Tableau. Drag the Red 7D to the Black 8S on the Tableau.<P#2<T#6
The next card on your Reserve pile is a 6 of Diamonds.~Play that Red 6D to one of the Black 7s showing on the Tableau.~For this tutorial, play it to the Black 7 of Spades.<P#2<T#8
The next card on your Reserve pile is a 9 of Clubs. It can't be played to the Tableau, but -- you can load your opponent's cards with it!~Loading cards on your opponent's Waste or Reserve pile will slow them down from playing all their cards, giving you a better chance of winning.~Now drag the 9 of Clubs to your opponent's Reserve pile, which has a 10 of Clubs on top.<P#2<O#2
The next card on your Reserve pile is an 8 of Hearts.~There is no place to play that card to, so it's time to look at the Tableau to see if any cards from there can be played.<A#0
The Tableau has 2 cards which could be loaded on your opponent's Waste pile.~You can build in Ascending or Descending order on the Waste or Reserve piles, so you could use either the 5 of Clubs or the 7 of Clubs.~We'll pick the 5 of Clubs, so drag the 5C to the opponent's Waste pile (6C) now.<T#2<O#3
Now you've made an open space on the Tableau.~Fill that space now with your Reserve card, the 8 of Hearts.<P#2<T#2
Your next Reserve card is a Queen of Hearts.~That card isn't playable anywhere, so look again at the Tableau for any cards that can be moved around, making a new space for you to use.<A#0
The Black 7 on the Tableau can be played on the Red 8.~Drag the Black 7 to the Red 8 now.<T#3<T#2
You've created another empty space on the Tableau.~Fill it now with your Reserve card (QH).<P#2<T#3
The next card on your Reserve pile is a Jack of Hearts.~That card can be played to the Tableau.~Drag your Reserve card, the Red Jack, onto the Tableau's Black Queen now.<P#2<T#7
The next card on your Reserve pile is a 7 of Hearts.~There's no place to play that card.<A#0
Look at the Tableau again for cards that can be moved to create an open space so that you can play your Reserve card.<A#0
There are two Black 10s on the Tableau that could be played on the Tableau's Red Jack, creating an open space.~For this example, drag the Black 10 that's at the upper left of the Tableau to the Red Jack now.<T#1<T#7
You've created another empty space on the Tableau.~Fill it now with your Reserve card (7H).<P#2<T#1
Your next Reserve card is a 4 of Hearts.~That card isn't playable anywhere. We don't see any more Tableau cards that can be moved.~Your Stock card cannot be played.<A#0
Since you can't find any more moves to make, end your turn by placing your Stock card (Queen of Diamonds) on your Waste pile now.~Your turn will then end and the computer can play again.<P#1<P#3
It's now the computer's turn and since its Reserve card can't be played to the Center Foundation, the computer can turn over its Stock card.
The stock card is turned over, revealing a King of Spades. That card is not playable.<A#0
The computer moves the Tableau cards around to see if there are any useful cards.
The computer continues to move Tableau cards around looking for a move.
There are no moves for the computer to make so it ends its turn by placing its Stock card (KS) on its Waste pile.~It's your turn again.
The 4 of Hearts on top of your Reserve pile is not playable, so you can turn over your Stock card.~Turn it over now by clicking once on your Stock pile.<P#1<C#1
You now have a 5 of Diamonds on the top of your Stock pile.~There's no place to play that card so you look at the Tableau to see if you have any moves there.<A#0
There are no more moves that you can make so end your turn now by moving your Stock card (5D) onto your Waste pile.<P#1<P#3
The computer begins by turning over its Stock, revealing a 3 of Clubs.
There is no place to play that card so the computer looks for other moves.<A#0
Unfortunately for you, the computer can now load your Waste pile with cards from the Tableau:~the 6 of Diamonds on your 5 Diamonds.
Then the computer can load the 7 of Diamonds on the 6 of Diamonds.
The computer can now move the Red 7 on the Tableau to the Black 8.~An empty space has now opened on the Tableau.
The computer can now move its Reserve card (9C) to the empty space.~The next Reserve card showing is a 10 of Clubs.
There are no more moves to be made, so the computer ends its turn.~It's now your turn again.
Click once on your Stock card now to turn it over.<P#1<C#1
A 3 of Diamonds is showing on your Stock pile.~There are no moves for you to make with either your Reserve or Stock pile, so look at the Tableau for moves.<A#0
Load your opponent by moving the 9 of Clubs from the Tableau to your opponent's Reserve pile (10C) now.<T#1<O#2
You've created an empty Tableau space.~Fill the space now by moving your Reserve card (4H) to it.<P#2<T#1

Your Reserve pile is empty! That's good.~When your Reserve pile is empty, if you have an empty Tableau space, you can fill it from your Stock pile.<A#0
Since the 3 of Diamonds on your Stock pile is not playable, look at the Tableau for possible moves.~The 2 of Spades on the Tableau can be moved to the Center foundation.~Move it there now.<T#5<C#1
You've created an empty Tableau space. Since your Reserve pile is empty, you can now move your Stock card to the empty space.~Move the 3 of Diamonds to the empty space now.<P#1<T#5
Click on your Stock pile to reveal the next card.<P#1<C#1

The computer begins its turn by turning over its Stock card, revealing a 2 of Clubs.
The 2 of Clubs is immediately playable to the Center Foundation, so the computer moves it there.
The computer turns over its next Stock card, revealing a Queen of Spades.~That card is not playable to the Center foundation or the Tableau, so the computer looks at the Tableau for other moves to the Center.
The computer finds that the 3 of Clubs can be moved from the Tableau to the Center Foundation.
The computer sees that it can load its Stock card, the Queen of Spades, onto your Waste pile (KS).
The computer turns over its next Stock card, revealing an 8 of Diamonds.
The new Stock card cannot be played so the computer takes the Jack of Spades from the Tableau and loads it onto your Waste pile (QS).
The Tableau contains a 10 of Spades, which can now be loaded onto your Waste pile as well.
There are no more moves for the computer to make, so it ends its turn by dropping the 8 of Diamonds from its Stock pile to its Waste pile.~It's your turn.
Click on your Stock card to turn it over.<P#1<C#1
Your Stock card is now a 10 of Diamonds.~That card is not playable.<A#0
