This is a special release of the Ladebug(tm) debugger to accompany the
Compaq(tm) Fortran, C, and CXX Compilers for Alpha(tm) Linux systems.

This version does not correspond to any previously released version of the
Ladebug debugger for Tru64(tm) systems.

The debugger understands ELF object files containing Dwarf2 debugging
information. Most compilers for Alpha Linux systems do not put out Dwarf2,
and hence debugging within such .o files will be severely limited. The above
referenced compilers do put out Dwarf2 debugging information.

This release contains:

    This README file

The ladebug executable file, which requires no special installation.
A normal user can run it from any directory.

Cover letter and release-notes files from the most recent Tru64 release.

    A ladebug.1 man page file

    A ladebug.cat message catalog file

    A ladebug.el file

    The unstripped ladebug executable file

The latest manuals in browsable format (both the ladebug_debugger_manual and
    the ladebug_debugger_advanced_topics manual).

If you are familiar with the ladebug debugger on Compaq Tru64 systems, you will
have no troubles adapting to this Linux version.
