The Survey Utility Report is divided into four sections:
List of Sessions-This section contains the report configuration.
Session Information-This section contains some configuration information as well as date and time information.
System Components-This section contains hardware related information.
OS Information (Windows NT, Windows 2000, or NetWare)-This section contains operating system information.
From a browser, you can view or print the Survey Utility Report by selecting the Report link from the Compaq Survey Utility page. See Using Compaq Survey Utility from a browser for more information.
On a Windows or NetWare server, this report is saved to a file called SURVEY.TXT. This file is stored in the C:\COMPAQ\SURVEY directory on a Windows server and in the SYS:SYSTEM directory on a NetWare server. Use any text editor to view or print SURVEY.TXT.
An abbreviated example of SURVEY.TXT is provided below.
NOTE: A indicates a current state in the primary session, and a indicates a previous state in the comparison session.

The example above shows several things that changed. The first indicates that a NetFlex-3/E board is now installed in slot 2. The on the following line indicates that the slot was previously empty. The next indicates that slot 3 is now empty. The indicates that a Thomas Conrad 3147 board has previously been in the slot.
