<h1>Confirming
  your system configuration</h1>
<p> Use the configuration summary to review all the changes that the HP Storage Manager
   will apply to your configuration: </p>
<ol>
  <li>
    <p>Review the information that is displayed in the "Configuration summary"
      window. To change your Express configuration, click <img src="images/wmodld2.gif" border=0>;
      to change your Custom configuration, click <b>Back</b>. <br>
    <p> <b><img src="images/note.gif" width="15" height="17"> Note:</b> Additional
      <a href="ccfgnote.htm">notes and attentions</a> regarding the configuration
      appear in the <a href="cusegui5.htm">event viewer</a>.<br>
    </p>

  <li>Click <b>Apply</b>; then, click <b>Yes</b> when asked if you want to apply
    the new configuration. The configuration is saved in the controller
    and in the physical drives. <br>
    <p> <b><img src="images/note.gif" width="15" height="17"> Note:</b> The HP Storage Manager
      will initialize the logical devices automatically. The initialization
      method depends on the RAID level and controller type.<br>

  <li>After you configure your controller, you can change certain controller settings
    to <a href="cfintune.htm">fine-tune your configuration</a> for optimal performance.

      Custom configuration, you can fine tune your configuration using the <a href="wadvstcc.htm">Advanced
      settings</a> in the Configuration wizard.<br>

After you apply the configuration, the logical devices
will display as physical drives under your operating system.
Before you can use these drives to store data, you must partition
and format the drives using the disk management tools provided
with your operating system.
Each operating system provides its own disk management tools. For example,
under Microsoft Windows, use the Computer Management tool to partition and format drives;
then, assign each logical device to a drive letter. For more information, see your
