Things to consider when changing the RAID level

If you have a... And you want... Then... And in the HP Storage Manager...

RAID level-0 disk group with two or more drives RAID level-5 Add one and only one drive Use the Configuration wizard to define the physical drive that you are adding to the disk group.

RAID level-1 disk group with two and only two drives
RAID level-5 Add one and only one drive Use the Configuration wizard to define the physical drive that you are adding to the disk group.

RAID level-5 disk group
RAID level-0 The HP Storage Manager removes the last drive in the disk group Review the configuration summary pane to apply the RAID level change. The HP Storage Manager automatically removes the last physical drive from the disk group.
