Navigate to https://devicename:2381. The Login page is displayed if Anonymous Access is disabled. If Anonymous Access is enabled, the System Management Homepage is displayed.
After you have logged in, the System Management Homepage is displayed.
Click the Version Control Agent icon. The Home page is displayed.
If a Version Control Repository Manager has not been configured, only the Software and Firmware Inventory of items currently installed on the device are displayed on the Home page. The Version Control Agent settings must be configured for full functionality.
For Windows operating systems, you must install version 5.40 or later of the Foundation Agents to obtain any inventory data. For Linux operating systems, you must install version 7.0 or later of the Foundation Agents to obtain any inventory data. HP recommends installing the current version that is in the same Support Pack that the Version Control Agent is in.
If the Foundation Agents are not installed, software inventory cannot be collected by the Version Control Agent. It can still be used to install software, however.
The Operator login and the Administrator login have the same privileges in the Version Control Agent.
To access the Version Control Agent on a Linux operating system, open your browser and navigate to:
