After the Version Control Repository Manager and Reference Support Pack have been selected using the Change Agent Settings link, the overall status is based on a comparison between the installed software/firmware and the software/firmware in the Reference Support Pack. If no Reference Support Pack exists with which to compare the installed software/firmware, the status is based on a comparison with the newest components available in the Version Control Repository Manager. If no Version Control Repository Manager has been specified or the one specified is not valid, the inventory of the software/firmware installed at the server is displayed.
If there is no Version Control Repository Manager configured and only the installed software is listed, no overall status can be displayed because overall status is based on a comparison with components at the Version Control Repository Manager Reference Support Pack or both.
