README.TXT - Proliant Integration Module Installation on a Linux NFS server
===========================================================================

This document describes how to install the ProLiant Integration Module on a Linux NFS server in order to support the Linux scripted install events in the Deployment Server console.

Installation Steps
------------------
1) Login as root.

2) For CD installation:

   a) Insert the Rapid Deployment Pack CD into the CD-ROM drive
   b) Mount the CD

      Red Hat - mount /mnt/cdrom
      SuSE - mount /media/cdrom

NOTE: If you are running GNOME or KDE, you must close the file manager
window for the CD (and any other open connections to the CD) so
it can be ejected to insert the Red Hat or SuSE CDs later in the
            process.

   For web package installation:

   a) Extract the tarball

      gunzip pimXXX-nfs.tar.gz
      tar -xf pimXXX-nfs.tar

4) Run the setup script "setup.sh".

5) Follow the directions on the screen.

Please read Chapter 2 and 3 of the ProLiant Integration Module User Guide for complete instructions.
