** I. Quick Setup Instructions **
*********************************

Installing this RPM will do all that is necessary to
run accelerated FireGL graphics. During the RPM install
the 'fglrx' driver is built, installed, and your X
	configuration file modified for acceleration.

However, for manual configuration or unconfiguration:

You MUST be ROOT, WITH NO X-SERVER RUNNING!

	** UNCONFIGURE **
To unconfigure the FireGL driver package from your system,
	execute the provided script:

	$ ./unconfigure

NOTES: Once complete, your system will be put back to a
non-accelerated state. This does NOT remove the RPM package.

	** CONFIGURE **
To install and configure this driver package, execute
	the provided script:

	$ ./configure

NOTES: This rebuilds 'fglrx' driver modules, installs files,
and modifies the X configuration file for acceleration if
	necessary.

WARNING: Every time you change kernels, either from UP to
SMP or some other errata kernel, this driver package will
attempt (via init script 'atimodconfig') to reconfigure itself
in the same manner. For this to be successful, the matching
	kernel-source MUST be in place!

	** configure / unconfigure **
These are two helper config scripts to aid in quick
	configuration/unconfiguration of the accelerated driver.

	** DEVICES **
The 'DEVICES' file lists graphcis devices that have been
thoroughly tested and are qualified by HP with this software.
Other devices, although they may run with this driver, may not
be supported and qualified by HP.

** III. HP Packaged FireGL RPM Internals **
*******************************************

This HP packaged FireGL driver RPM contains useful utilities
to help relieve some of the manual processes in configuring
	accelerated drivers for Linux.

An init script 'atimodconfig' is also put on the system. Each
boot of the machine invokes this script to check the state of
the accelerated driver against the current running kernel. It
builds and adds additional driver modules as needed. This is
so you can update, change kernels, without needing to manually
reconfigure accelerated graphics. HOWEVER --> matching kernel-
source MUST be installed for this to be successful!

** IV. About FireGL Utilities **
********************************

When the FireGL driver is installed, the following utility
	programs are installed to '/usr/bin':

aticonfig: A command line tool for manipulating X
			  	configuration files, specifically to enable
				FireGL accelerated X driver functionality.

fglcontrol: A GUI tool that aids in X configruation,
			  	monitor layout, hardware settings, and
				advanced options.

atigetsysteminfo.sh:	A bash shell script that will collect system
				information, configuration, and log file
output that is key for debugging purposes.

				** NOTE:
You can expect HP to ask for a atisysteminfo-report
when contacting HP for any graphics related support.
