07-06-2004 Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0.4.0 RELEASE

keepup2date:
    * File updcfg.xml was not updated in some circumstances.

aveserver:
    * Fixed memory leak on aveserver restart (by -HUP).
    * Fixed rare "aveserver not running" errors after the restart, when
      aveserver worked on heavy load.
    * IPC was changed to prevent aveserver hangs in future.
    * CHANGED BEHAVIOR: on restart (kill -HUP) aveserver now shuts
down immediately only inactive children. The children, which are
scanning the files, will terminate when current scanning is completed.

smtpscan:
    * Fixed LMTP compatibility with Kaspersky Anti-Spam.

webmin:
    * Fixed keepup2date executable path.
    * On some changes, webmin made configuration file unusable.

20-05-2004 Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0.3.2 RELEASE

keepup2date:
    * Fixed post update command execution (script didn't run after a
successful update, but run when there were no update).

installation routine:
    * Fixed a warning on newest Perl.

aveserver:
    * Logging is now done much faster (especially with large amount of data).
    * Fixed aveserver restart - sometime aveserver went into infinite
      "accepted local socket 0" loop).
    * Fixed rare aveserver shutdown bug, when aveserver left children
      processes after shutdown.
    * Added 'preforked' mode support to increase scanning speed by spawning
several child processes on startup. This allows to increase connection
speed and decrease server load average. Activated by 'PreforkedChildren'
configuration file option - read configuration file man page for details.
    * CHANGED BEHAVIOR: on restart (kill -HUP) aveserver now shuts down all
its children immediately, so all scanning is terminated, and clients
      should restart.

smtpscanner:
    * When aveserver was terminated or crashed during mail scanning, mails
were marked as 'clean'. Now they are marked as 'error'.
    * If aveserver connection is lost during mail scanning, smtpscan will
try to restore it up to 5 times (with 2 sec sleep) before marking mail
      as 'error'.
    * Fixed bug when smtpscanner left zombies on Postfix restart.
