Data Collection Connection Upgrades from DCC/2 Announced on June 17, 1997 SOFTWARE Announcement 297-207 Abstract Customers who are currently licensed to use the IBM Data Collection Control/2 (DCC/2) (5756-144), may upgrade to either the IBM Data Collection Connection (DCConnect) for OS/2 (R) or the DCConnect for Windows NT (TM) products at a reduced price. This offer ends on January 30, 1998, at which time these upgrade features will be withdrawn from marketing. These DCConnect Development Toolkit and Server products are IBM's next generation of data collection enablers, providing an improved user interface, additional function, and a pricing structure, which accommodates smaller businesses and installations. Planned Availability Date: June 27, 1997 Year 2000 This product is year 2000 ready. When used in accordance with its associated documentation, it is capable of correctly processing, providing, and receiving date data within and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, provided all other products (for example, software, hardware, and firmware), used with the product properly exchange date data with it.
