New Features in CA-REALIZER 2.0 For Windows and OS/2

CA-REALIZER has been greatly enhanced and improved in its 2.0 release.
It is faster, more intuitive, and even more powerful than before. The
following list highlights major enhancements of CA-REALIZER 2.0 for
Windows and OS/2.

FormDev Visual Application Developer

* Launch FormDev directly from the CA-REALIZER Run menu

* Create complete projects and edit multiple forms at the same time

* Cut and Paste one or more objects between forms

* Align objects to adjustable grids with automatic snapping and
alignment

* Resize and move objects as they actually appear with sizing handles

* Add new forms objects to applications: scroll bars, animation,
graphics tablet, and OLE objects.

* Extend FormDev by adding custom control libraries

* Select and manipulate multiple objects as a group

* Use the toolbar to change an object's font, text, size, and color
without going through multiple levels of dialog boxes

* Create and manipulate multidimensional arrays with up to 30
dimensions; expand them dynamically in any dimension and extract and
assign to any subrange

* Declare variables of any type

* Get compile-time speed during development with an enhanced p-code
compiler

* Use binary, octal, and hexadecimal constants in programs

* Use arrays in any string functions

* Trap errors with the ON ERROR GOTO statement

* Port QuickBASIC programs quickly with enhanced compatibility and more
QuickBASIC commands

* Use any of the over 350 Commands

* Create variable names of up to 250 characters

* Put multiple statements on one line and break up single statements
across multiple lines

* Use built-in matrix functions for inversion, transpose, and matrix
multiplication

Debugging

* Place breakpoints at procedures, functions, and program lines

* Add watch expressions for powerful debugging

* Display the entire contents of an array in the variable list box

* View data in multiple windows

conserve resources

* Extract portions of a bitmap for display

* Create toolbars and palettes outside of the MDI region

* Add drag and drop objects and icons

* Create device independent forms with new position units: twips and
dialog-box units
