MCA SOUNDS

BH> Does anybody out there have a sound board for Micro Channel
BH> architecture?

Have you considered the IBM Audiovation Adaptor/A? I don't have one but
the specs sound good. The following was clipped/edited from the PS/2
pricing/configuration utility downloaded from OS2SHAREWARE BBS:

The IBM AUDIOVATION(TM) Adapter/A (PN 92G7464) This adapter employs a
Mwave(TM)-based Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to record and playback
music and sounds at CD-quality levels. The DSP also provides a 16-voice
Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) synthesizer to accurately
reproduce music using high quality digitally sampled sounds. Over 5MB of
sampled sounds are provided and the DSP enables customers to easily add,
delete, or change the samples.

The IBM AUDIOVATION Adapter/A provides drivers to support operation
within both the Multimedia Presentation Manager/2(TM) (MMPM/2) and
WIN/OS2 environments of OS/2(TM) 2.1, Microsoft Windows(1) 3.1, and
PCDOS 5.0 or MSDOS 5.0.

List price is $245 US.
