1. What does it mean to become a registered user?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   Since version 1.2, UDEC and UENC are shareware; this means you can test
   these programs without buying them to see if they are of any use to
   you. The testing period shouldn't exceed 30 days.
   If you find these programs useful and want to continue using them,
   you'll have to register. For a small registration fee you'll get
   a full version of UDEC/UENC plus a registration file that allows you
   to automatically register future versions of UDEC/UENC.
   If you don't register after the 30-day testing period and continue
   using UDEC/UENC, the programs have to be considered as pirated
   software and are subject to legal actions.
   Since older versions of UDEC were Freeware, the program will transform
   itself into the limited version 1.1s, which you may legally use
   without any restrictions.
   A program you find worth using is certainly worth registering.
   Considering that you only have to register ONCE (and, with the
   registration file you'll get, any future versions of UDEC/UENC
   you may get are automatically registered versions - so this is
   actually a lifetime registration!) you'll find the registration fee
   really cheap.
   If you register, you'll get:
     - the latest version of UDEC/UENC
     - your personal registration file
   on a 3.5" disk via mail.
   Postage and delivery expenses included!
2. What do I have to consider if I don't want to become a registered user?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   You may continue using UDEC 1.1s without any restrictions; UENC and
   all files coming with UDEC 1.2 or higher have to be deleted after
   the 30-day testing period (including any backups you've made).

   If a new version of UDEC/UENC will be published, you may test this
   one again for 30 days, of course.

3. How do I become a registered user?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   Simple, only 2 things are needed:
 1. Print the registration form you find in the file register.for
    and fill carefully in what's asked for.
    It's recommended to use an editor to do this before printing the
    file!
    If you don't have a printer use a piece of paper or a post card
    with
      - your name and complete address
      - e-mail address, if existent
      - how you're going to pay the registration fee (see below)
      - IMPORTANT: your signature
      - if you want: comments, questions etc.
    Note: for a private registration no name of a company or institution
    may be given.
    Both the private and the company licence are valid only for 1 PC, that
    is, you may use this version only on a single computer.
    Send the registration form via mail or e-mail (only within germany;
    be aware that the author's e-mail address may change and no longer
    be valid when trying to contact him) to
       Peter Liebel
       Friedhofstr. 17
       97526 Sennfeld (Germany)
    E-Mail: liebel@cip.informatik.uni-wuerzburg.de or
            liebel@informatik.uni-wuerzburg.de
    In certain circumstances (vacations, exams etc.) some delays may
    occur in dealing with your registration. The author apologizes for
    any inconvenience...
  2. Pay the registration fee (see below).
    If you pay cash or via check, just send the money together with the
    registration form in an envelope (make sure, though, that the bank-
    notes are not visible through the envelope).
4. How do I pay the registration fee?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You have the following alternatives:

        Don't forget to send the registration form nevertheless, and
        don't forget to mention your name under "Usage"/"Verwendungszweck".
        If possible, enclose a copy of your remmittance with the
        registration form.
     - For amounts less than 25.- DM, (german!) stamps

     The author accepts cash on delivery only exceptionally and after
     a special arrangement has been made.
